Quality Assurance Technician

Key Responsibilities and Learning Experiences:

  • Assessment of raw material to ensure all produce is fit for purpose and consistent standards of quality are delivered to customers;
  • Ensure that all products dispatched meet customers specifications, labeled with the correct information; all in line production books are completed and signed off;
  • Liaise with customers technologist and depot quality controllers with any issues that may arise; Prepare customer samples when requested and maintain shelf life trials, taking action when results are bellow the standard;
  • Maintain high level of hygiene and a clean environment in the packing area and ensure staff follow hygiene policy; all scales and temperature equipment in the area are calibrated properly and well maintained;
  • Development and presentation of shelf-life project-work;
  • Assistance in training and coaching new staff.
