Job Description
HALL HUNTER PARTNERSHIP (FARMING)
Company & Team
Hall Hunter Partnership is a family-owned business and one of the UK’s leading berry growers, with farms across Berkshire and Surrey. We supply high-quality soft fruit to major supermarkets and are proud to combine modern, sustainable farming with a commitment to our people and communities.
The Projects & Development Team drives innovation and progress across the business. We lead on key projects that improve our farms and unlock new value. These range from building new staff accommodation and packhouse upgrades, to developing reservoirs, connecting renewable energy, and exploring new uses for our land beyond berries.
The Role – Projects & Development Assistant
We’re looking for a highly motivated, organised and ambitious individual to join our Projects & Development Team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who is eager to get hands-on experience in land planning, project delivery, and business strategy.
You’ll work closely with the Projects & Development Manager to help deliver a wide range of exciting infrastructure and energy projects. You’ll also gain insight into how a fast-moving, entrepreneurial farming business develops ideas and turns them into real-world results.
The role is full time – working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm, with 1 hour for lunch.
The main location is our Heathlands Farm, in Wokingham, but the travel to our two other sites will occasionally be required (one site is also in Berkshire and another one in Surrey), so a driving license is required.
What You’ll Do
- Help manage planning applications and coordinate consultants (e.g. architects, ecologists).
- Assist with project tracking and team coordination to keep things on schedule.
- Support communication with key stakeholders including landowners, neighbours and local authorities.
- Keep records up to date and contribute to reports and presentations.
- Support research into new business opportunities and ideas for growth.
What We’re Looking For
- A degree in Business, Project Management, Land/Property, Agriculture, or a related field.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Great communicator, both in writing and when working with people.
- Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- A self-starter who’s happy to take initiative, learn, and get stuck in.
Why Join Us?
- Be part of a close-knit, supportive team with a clear mission and purpose.
- Work on meaningful projects with real impact across our farms.
- Learn from experienced professionals and gain wide-ranging exposure to development, planning, energy, and strategy.
- Opportunity for growth. This role has long-term potential to develop into a project coordinator or manager position.
