Graduate Scheme
The MDS graduate scheme is like no other. Designed for university leavers with leadership potential, it challenges from the start. Trainees develop their leadership skills in roles with real responsibility in several different companies during the two-year programme. At the same time, you will work towards a Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification, Operations Manager, accredited by the Chartered Management Institute.

School Leavers
New for 2026, the MDS School Leavers Programme offers an alternative to university for those looking to start a career in the food and farming industry straight from school or college. Designed for people aged 18 and over, this paid apprenticeship allows you to gain hands-on experience with leading businesses in your region while earning a recognised supply chain qualification. Over the course of the programme, you will rotate through different roles across the food supply chain, developing practical skills, industry knowledge and a strong foundation for a long-term career.
