Event Overview 

Our Annual Conference will again be hosted at the East Midlands Conference Centre in Nottingham. This event offers a prime opportunity to network and showcase yourself and your business while connecting with the brightest future leaders in the agri-food sector. Last year’s event was a huge success and this year’s agri-food networking event is set to be even better.

  • Bring essentials: Our agri-food networking event is one of the most attended of its kind, so make sure to bring your networking essentials. Digital business cards can be an excellent tool for quick and seamless networking. 
  • Stand out: Decorate your stall with eye-catching banners and materials that highlight your company’s unique offerings. This will help attract the right attention and make your booth memorable. 
  • Getting started: You can arrive from 8:00 am and we will be there to say hello and show you to your stand. Once you’re set up you’ll have the chance to join us for our expert panel talks. 
  • Be engaging: Prepare a brief pitch about your company and its opportunities.  

Hints & tips for Trainees 

  • Research and goals: Familiarise yourself with attending companies and set clear objectives for what you want to achieve at the event. 
  • Professional presentation: Dress smartly and bring essentials like a notebook, pen and your name badge. 
  • Engage and network: Introduce yourself confidently, ask insightful questions, and actively listen to make a positive impression. 
  • Reflect and apply: After the event, reflect on your experiences, and apply what you’ve learned to further your career goals. While you are welcome to follow event attendees on LinkedIn, remember it’s up to MDS to assign your secondments, and the People Development Team will make any introductions with a Member company or secondment manager ahead of your next role.
