MDS Launches #DitchTheDesk Campaign to Tackle Labour Shortage Suggestions in DEFRA Report
MDS has launched a new exciting #DITCHTHEDESK campaign to tackle the issues raised in the recent independent review of labour shortages in the food supply chain.
Urging collaborative efforts between industry, education and Government to elevate the sector’s appeal to future workers, the report writes: “To reduce recruitment challenges and promote opportunities available in the food supply chain in England, we recommend implementing a comprehensive strategy to improve awareness of the opportunities in the sector.”
#DITCHTHEDESK aims to address the challenges highlighted in the report and collaboratively elevate the sector’s appeal to future workers. By combining viral videos, impactful visuals, and educational content, MDS aims to engage the next generation of future leaders on their preferred social platforms. The campaign seeks to lift the cover on the industry and emphasise the numerous benefits of pursuing an impactful and purposeful career in agri-food.
