MDS becomes official Earth Day 2023 Partner
April 22nd marks Earth Day and this year, the event is focused on “reframing the conversation, accelerating action, and bringing everyone together to understand that the transition to an equitable, prosperous green economy for all is within our reach if we work together”. It is a day dedicated to promoting environmental awareness and protecting the planet we call home. As the foremost food supply chain training and development scheme for future leaders, MDS recognises the importance of protecting the earth and is excited to be an official partner of Earth Day.
Earth Day Stories Takeover
To mark the occasion, MDS is thrilled to be hosting an Instagram takeover on Earth Day with group 51 graduate Trainee Francesca Pritchard, who is currently seconded with Syngenta. Francesca has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to sustainability and biodiversity, and she will be sharing tips, quizzes, and video content throughout the day.
Earth Day is particularly important to the food and fresh produce industry as it is directly impacted by climate change and environmental degradation. Sustainable food production is key to protecting our planet and ensuring we have a healthy and thriving food supply for generations to come.
The food industry is one of the largest contributors to greenhouse gas emissions and is responsible for a significant amount of waste. However, the industry is in a period of fast innovation, developing new technology and systems to lower environmental impact while tackling food shortages. This is why it is crucial for companies like MDS to participate in Earth Day.
Working Together
At MDS, we are committed to reducing waste and promoting sustainable agriculture. We believe that by working together, we can make a positive impact on the planet and create a better future for everyone.
Francesca’s Earth Day Instagram takeover is a fantastic opportunity for us to share the industry’s commitment to sustainability. Throughout the day, Francesca will be sharing her knowledge and expertise, helping people to understand the importance of sustainable food production and what they can do to make a difference.
This event follows on from a hugely successful Earth Day Instagram stories takeover from Ffion last year.
So, mark your calendars for April 22nd, and join us for a day of fun, informative, and engaging content. Follow MDS on Instagram and be sure to check out Francesca’s Earth Day takeover.
Together, let’s take action and protect the planet we call home. Happy Earth Day!
