Two Years on the MDS Scheme: Ed Kendall’s Story
What’s it really like to be an MDS Trainee?
Ed Kendall has answered that in the best way possible – by filming his entire two-year journey on the scheme.
From his first secondment to final placement, Ed recorded clips and moments throughout his time with MDS. The result is a short film that gives a personal and honest look at life on the programme.
“Videography has always been a hobby of mine from a young age,” says Ed. “I’ve enjoyed producing films to look back on my memories – whether it be holidays, sports or travel – and so at my induction day for MDS, Kirsty’s introduction speech sparked an idea to try and track my MDS journey over the two years.”
Whether you’re thinking of applying, about to join, or just curious about what the scheme involves, Ed’s film offers a real insight into the MDS experience – direct from someone who’s just completed it. When asked to sum up his time on the programme, Ed kept it simple: “Exciting and fast-paced.”
